TriState Benefit Solutions

WHO WE ARE

TriState Benefit Solutions (TBS) has been partnering with employers, health care providers and health insurers as a licensed third party administrator since 1992, delivering quality, cost effective plan administration and customer service. TBS offers clients flexibility and control of the management of their self-funded plan whether traditional fee-for-service or full managed care arrangements are implemented. Through the Amisys Managed Care System, TPS provides our clients superior information management tools along with state of the art claim processing capabilities. TBS is positioning itself to be the third party administrator of preference serving mid-sized employers (50-500 covered employees) in the Midwest.

TBS offers employers a strong partnership with the managed care organization, stop loss carrier and the pharmacy benefit manager.

TBS brings a unique service to the market with its behavioral management capabilities either as a "carved out" arrangement or simply ongoing management of such claims as a support to large medical case management services. No other local Cincinnati administrator can offer behavioral management as part of its internal package of services. With the "mental health parity" legislation, this service becomes more critical as a claim management tool to both the client and stop loss carrier.

In selecting TBS as its third party administrator, plan sponsors will realize the following benefits:

  • Strong, customer-focused support before, during and after conversion to ensure smooth implementation.
  • A dedicated account representative who will be responsive to on-going service and maintenance issues.
  • Fast, comprehensive enrollment processing and services.
  • Local and convenient access to care by quality accredited providers, with the largest non-carrier PPO network in the region.
  • Greater consistency of quality service, resulting from a dedicated, experienced service team of allied health care professionals.
  • Accurate and efficient claims adjudication.
  • Deep discounts in hospital/physician fees and pharmaceuticals.
  • Protection from catastrophic claims exposure with a stable and reputable stop loss carrier.
  • Technologically advanced information systems and management tools.
  • Current utilization information on the covered population, for targeting wellness and prevention programs, developing population specific health care initiatives and employee education.
  • More control over health care expenses through tailored benefit designs and customized financial reports.
  • Experienced local customer service representatives responding to provider and member calls.
  • Government and regulatory compliance and notification of changes affecting self-funded plans.

Utilizing TBS affords employers maximum control over the management of their self-funded medical benefits plans that goes beyond cost-containment by enhancing opportunities for implementing programs which encourage their participants to actively maintain their health.

TBS can manage the administrative functions and deliver information to employers and health care providers who will assist their efforts to provide quality care for their insured.
